Patient Care Management Graduates
CONGRATULATIONS to the first graduates with a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Patient Care Management in the State of New York. You did it! This is a special moment and we want you to know that we at CITE are very proud of you. The 1199SEIU/League Training and Upgrading Fund, together with Alfred University and CITE, put this program together and you worked hard to excel in it. You are now ready to tackle the needs of the New York State healthcare industry transformation and DSRIP implementation.
The first Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Care Management in New York State is the product of a successful collaboration between 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds, Alfred University, and the Center for Integrated Teaching Education (CITE). This innovative postgraduate program was designed to respond directly to the needs of the New York State healthcare industry transformation and DSRIP implementation. The programs’ curriculum was design to provide the knowledge and skills training required for the new healthcare job title of CARE MANAGER. This is in direct response to the healthcare industry’s expressed need of additional healthcare workers that have the knowledge and skills in behavioral health required to articulate, coordinate, and manage patients with multiple care needs. The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Care Manager was developed following the didactic knowledge and occupational skills requirements to perform care manager tasks as established by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.
