Meet our Instructors: Dr. Denise D’Anna
Dr. Denise D’Anna graduated with a PhD in Educational Leadership in 2016 from CITE/Concordia University. She has been with the NYCDOE for 25 years in many capacities, both school and district level. She is currently the proud Principal of a New York City Department of Education school in District 75, Citywide Special Education, focused on promoting equity and excellence in education. She has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students.
Dr. D’Anna’s academic prowess is unparalleled. Holding a PhD in Educational Leadership, she has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of complex educational concepts and an ability to synthesize data to identify areas for growth and implement effective strategies. As an adjunct professor at the Center for Innovative Teaching and Education (CITE) since 2018 and a product of the program, she combines practical experience with a deep understanding of the complexities of school administration, always advocating for policies that prioritize student success and staff development. Beyond her impressive academic achievements, Dr. D’Anna has been a driving force in school and district-level leadership.
Her keen analytical skills, coupled with a collaborative spirit, have enabled her to navigate complex educational landscapes and facilitate positive changes that have had a lasting impact on student outcomes. Her unwavering commitment to equity and her ability to empower both students and colleagues has made her a true asset to any educational institution.
