Mental Health Master's - SEIU 1199 (3/27/2025)

Alfred University and SEIU 1199 have agreed to start a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling cohort in June 2025.

SEIU 1199 is offering a grant to cover the full tuition for eligible applicants who start in the summer 2025 cohort.Find out if you are eligible by clicking below and filling out the form.

1. Complete your Alfred University’s application for graduate admissions.
2. Complete the application for the CPT Grant Application with SEIU

To Complete you Application for Graduate Admission, you must submit the following:

1. Completed Alfred University Application for Graduate Study – https://connect.alfred.edu/register/seiu1199-summer2025-app
2. Two letters of recommendation from individuals (supervisors, previous professors) who can attest to your qualifications for graduate study
3. Cover letter / resume
4. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (if applicable)
5. An interview with a faculty member
6. A writing sample provided at the time of the interview
7. Personal statement (You must submit a written statement describing career goals and reasons for the chosen field of graduate study. Outline topics of special interest and also include relevant experience such as internships, co-ops, or other professional activities.)
