Alumni and Student Event Recap – Yoga
The purpose for the CITE yoga event was to encourage our alumni, current students, and instructors to relax and destress. We all know how stressful working in a large school can be, or navigating the work politics that come with any job. We at CITE feel it is on us to create environments that give you resources and enable you – our alumni, students, and staff – to succeed personally and professionally.
Yoga creates peace, stillness, and tranquility in a sometimes chaotic world. Aside from the quiet away from work and family that yoga provides, yoga also has many health benefits: increased flexibility, muscle strength and tone, improved respiration-energy and vitality, maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health.

What brought you to participate in the CITE Yoga event?
I received an email invitation to attend this event from Joshua Davis, Alumni Coordinator of C.I.T.E. (Learn more about our alumni coordinator, Joshua, here.)
How was your CITE Yoga experience?
The Yoga experience was great. Great ambiance, music, great-smelling scented oil and individualized instruction for those who had a little difficulty. It was a great workout and ended with a mini massage. Afterwards, there was mixed fruit salad, coffee, tea and water waiting for us. Awesome experience!
Describe a particular moment during the yoga session that you enjoyed.
There was no particular part of Yoga that I like more than the other. The whole experience was great.
Would you want to do the event again?
I would absolutely do this event again with the same Yoga instructor. She was great!
Would you recommend this event to a friend/old classmate?
I would recommend this event to both a friend and old classmates. I’ve already told them about it and a few are interested to attend if it’s offered again.
