This interactive seminar, presented by Dr. Shonelle Hall, will focus on — Collaborative Leadership Practices employed by school leaders of elementary and middle schools where the percentage of students in grade 3-8 demonstrated an increase in ELA proficiency by an average of 5% from 2016-2018.
The following will be explored:
- The role of school-based leaders in collaborative leadership
- The processes and procedures school leaders use to develop collaborative leadership
- How school leaders perceive that collaborative leadership affects instruction and student performance
- The collaborative leadership processes and procedures school leaders deem most effective
* Please note: This seminar will count as a required seminar for the SBL program, through cohort 59 (not 60). Attendees will also earn a CTLE credit. Information on CTLE and SBL credit will be given at the end of the seminar. Attendees must be present for the entire seminar for credit.

Dr. Shonelle Hall is a 15-year educator with a strong passion for teaching and learning. As a wife and mother of four school aged children between the ages of 6 and 10, she earnestly believes in prioritizing academic and socio-emotional growth for children, adults, and communities at large. As a recent doctoral graduate from The Sage Colleges and a current New York City K-8 Public School Principal she demonstrates a belief in lifelong learning and commitment to serve underserved communities.
